Purpose of the excercise

Stretching the front of the hip (iliopsoas), Achilles tendon stretch


Target

Excessive lumbar extension while walking, decreased lower limb flexibility, reduced step length


Muscles that can be stretched

Iliopsoas, triceps surae (gastrocnemius, soleus)


Note

Be careful not to lean your torso forward or arch backward. Focus on pushing your navel outward.
